Mission: Serving Farmers
The Agrarian Consortium of Florence is a cooperative of farmers with 12 local agencies, active throughout the provincial territory.
For farmers and agricultural companies, we are a reliable and dynamic partner, offering technical means, agronomic products, specialist assistance, and support for the marketing of products, always at the best conditions.
Our goal is to meet the needs of members, facilitating every step of the process: from planning to production and sales. We are here to simplify and support the work of farmers.
The Direction of the Agrarian Consortium of Florence is entrusted to Dr. Michele Falagiani and Accountant Michele Pittorino, while Geom. Antonio Marku manages the organization and assets.
On the commercial front the phytosanitary experts Dr. Lorenzo Rizzi and Dr. Leonardo Marchetti handle specialist consultancy, while Dr. Andrea Cappelli is responsible for plants and seeds.
Luca Caselli manages fertilizers and pesticides, Mr. Mauro Giovannini takes care of gardening, and Alessandro Tognaccini is responsible for feed, cereals, and fuels.
The Administration is overseen by Accountant Lucia Bencini and Accountant Maria Mazzoni for accounting, customers, and suppliers, while Accountant Alessandro Chiari manages the secretariat and disputes.
Over a Century of History
The Agrarian Consortium of Florence originates from the Florence Agricultural Assembly, founded on May 27, 1889. It was the first agrarian consortium established in Tuscany and one of the first in Italy.
Operations began in a room located in Piazza della Signoria, on the ground floor of Palazzo Vecchio, with access from via dei Gondi.
The original goals were to provide members with guaranteed agricultural products, such as fertilizers, sulfurs, copper sulfate, and seeds, and to promote the rational use of fertilizers.
